Capri, Italy

Perhaps Italy’s most stunning island, Capri is located about 45-minutes off the coast of Naples. Famous for its jet-set style, this is the place to be and be seen in the summer months.

Accommodation:

  • One of the best ways to see Capri is by boat. Consider chartering a yacht or Catamaran and taking visits to the island for meals and shopping.

Activities:

  • The only thing visitors have to do is the Blue Grotto. Laying down flat in a rowboat, you will enter a tiny crevice in the island’s rock face leads to an open cave. When I say the water is clear, I mean it. The resonance of the Italian men serenading everybody inside is a sound that still gives me the chills.

  • Some of the world’s most fabulous yachts dock at Marina Piccola on the sunny, wind protected south side of the island. If you don’t have a boat or a skipper, relax, swim, and play water sports on the beaches here. Be lazy and soak up the sun!

Food:

  • Dine under lemon trees at da Polino.

Nightlife:

  • Capri is a late-night town, and many people do not sit down for dinner until nine or ten o’clock. Nightclubs open after midnight.
